Part and Parcel of Life

I took bus no. 3 to Hypernova.
Alone.
I sat on a seat across the door.

General information : Czech has a large number of old citizen.

At one stop, an old woman.
Medium height.
Plump body.
With a walking stick.
Wanted to disembark.
Her movement was so slow that I doubted wheteher she was unsure if that is the right stop for her.

When I was thinking and judging,
and both her feet touched the pavement,
suddenly, she sat abruptly before losing her balance
In no time she was on her back.
Her face up,
her eyes scanning for help
Her voice faintly asking for help (in Czech of course)
It was heartbreaking
I got on my feet and with other woman who's in front of me,
we tried to get her up
She was not heavy
But because she is old, her muscle strength has long deteroriating
Which makes standing up, even with the help of others is a litlle complicated.
Not surprisingly here, the driver waited until we got her up and she was in the safe zone.
Rupa bas di Hradec Kralove

In Malaysia, a few years back.
On a Sunday, me and my father took a bus after our motorbike broke down.
In Penang, almost all business are off on Sundays.
At that time, Penang's public transportation was a mess.
My father loves to sit on the rear of the bus.
Me, I was looking outside when I heard my father's alarming voice.
In an instant, I saw an old woman who barely touch her feet on the ground when the bus moved and that old woman slipped and trip, making a circular motion.
I was ever so shocked and my father beside me was emitting infrared waves.
The conductor just apologized (not profusely)
and the bus fired to life again.
I asked my father would that woman be okay and he told me
"tonight she'll have a bad time"
U know what that means?
When u slip.
Plus that u r old.
Somethig like that happens.
At first u'll feel a little pain.
Later at night, there's high risk of swelling and muscle cramp.
I wonder what happened to that old lady..

Bad Hair Day

Haven't have any for a long time.
Until today.
The opening is done by diarrhea.
Then, a zap on my scarf done by my winter coat zip (a big hole on my beautiful scarf)
Less than an hour after that, I send some fat dropping from the cadaver to the boy who painstakingly limiting my work space.
A sombre weather outside.
Having no one to accompany me to Hypernova. I remember being told that we r going to go there last weekend but no words kept.
Since I really really really want to eat instant noodle and I don't want to ask from my friend, I go there alone.
Hoping for a halal chicken, seems like it's out of stock.
To top it all, 2 buses that supposed to take me home come half an hour late.
According to the schedule, it means 3-4 buses that should arrive don't arrive.
And for the whole torturing half an hour I'm left to die of the cold and fear that I'll miss my Zuhur prayer.
What a day!

Program With New Malaysian Ambassador to Czech Republic

Location : Nove Adalbertinum

What's in the programme~ winter semestaer final examination post mortem. The first batch has my respect. Such a strong personality. Matured. Since they are the first batch of Malaysian students in Hradec Kralove, they have first hand experience and limited sources, unlike us. Albeit they manage to not just pass the finals, but they have retained excellent study record since their fist year. Salute!
~ CzeMSA future plans
~ the new ambassador and his wife session. Career background : served the country in Vietnam, Tokyo, and Brussels before. Merely placed in Nigeria but at last ended up in this Bohemian and Moravian land.

~ DINNER
The most interesting part
Full course dinner

STARTER
Salad (combination of cucumbers, red pepper, lettuce, tomato and red cabbage sans
dressing - very healthy)
Breads (tender and nice)
Mushroom soup (incredible taste with sliced mushroom)

PLAT PRINCIPAL
Salmon with generous amaount of sauce (I don't know what sauce is it but it definitely taste like gulai lemak Malaysia, love the aroma and the taste)
Rice and boiled potatoes

DESSERT
Cakes that taste like tiramisu. lip licking cream which is tasty and not too sweet layered with medium crunchy biscuit. Really tantalize my palate

DRINK
I opted for sprite.
Later, asked for fruit tea.
The first fruit tea that taste out of place.
Apart from not having the aroma, the colour is of the scary purple.

p/s : no photos of the main dishes. I'm too busy savouring them. =]

The Will That Flies Away

In order to avoid dikir barat, I registered myself under the games activity.
Life law - nothing is easy. nothing will happen when u just clap ur hands.
And for these past 2 years, I've been keeping low.
I've been an obnoxious ignorant.
When something's up and it bothers me, I just act 'let it be'

Back to this games activity.
Since the head is my assigned buddy (who'll help me here in Hradec Kralove, literally)
and she's going to be the emcee, I'm unoffically taking over her place.
My trait - I prefer backstage appearance than being the leader.
And my duty - list as much as possible games that Malaysians love to play (bumiputras, Malay, Chinese and Indians - all in one)
With terms and conditions : the games can accommodate to 300 ppl
limited space
limited movement
With the terms and conditions, I feel like giving up (again, trying to be an ignorant)
Before, I'd long list of exciting games in my pocket. Now, I have barely 3.

So, people, tell me, what kind of games do u have in mind?

Sports Cafe

Location : Adalbertinum, Hradec Kralove

I've been to Sport Cafe a couple of time.
They have variety of food and the prices are quite cheap
It's a buzz in the cafe
Lots of customers
Lots of smoke (and when u step out of the cafe, the smell of smoke persist. On you!)

Among their food and beverages :

Mushroom soup with grated cheese and garlic breadcrums (POZOR!: the taste and aroma of garlic is strong)

Salmon steak. Nice.

Banana shake. Love it. But horrible presentation isn't it?

Zmzrliny aka ice creams. I really, really love that one which has cut fruits and syrup, topped with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream sprinkled with chocolate rice. Haven!

First Dissection Lab.

There are 2 lifeless body on the dissecting tables.
1 is an old woman. A very skinny woman.
1 is an old man. His belly visible. His face dark.
When I was small, I was told that people who drink alcohol will have a blackened face when they die.
I don't know if it was scientifically proven.
Anybody interested to carry out a research about it?

Well, since we are there first, we get to choose which cadaver we want.
Of course we go for the old man cadaver.
Thick fat - lower risk of cutting superficial vessels and nerves.
10 excited students dissecting on a cadaver.
Albeit,we work harmoniously.
Constantly reminding each other to watch out.
Well, the scalpel is used to cut the cadaver but high fat chances it can cut u too. (remember, the scalpel is contaminated with the died old man's fat)
Everyone is committed with their work.
Chatting occassionally.
And when your thumb and index finger loose their strength and the tweezers that they control slips.
It's my face that serve as victim to the flying fluid.
That.is.gross.
I've to buy a mouth and nose mask in case in the future the fluid may enter my mouth *puke*

So, for today we just separate the skin from the subcutaneous layer (FYI, it's fat layer)
No pic from today coz I'm immersed in the feeling of being a surgeon.
And we need to choose a small region to dissect and later to write on.
Since we are given the chance to choose our cadaver and cut it first, when it comes to regional part, we are the last
That means leftover.
And it's totally leftover that I and Aizat don't have anything to work on.
I tell you what, I nearly ends up with tok mudim profession (if u get my drift)
what?
U don't get it?
Ok.
Me...
I...
er, actually Prof Hajek (pronounced Hayek)
after he closes the door and when it is only Mr Kuchar, Prof Hajek, Aizat and me in the dissection room
he asks either me or Aizat,
either one of us, take the
ahem...
penis
none of us want it
We keep saying "u take it" to each other
I told him that I'm totally not taking it.
Because I'm a girl.
And can u predict what's everybody reaction when I have to work (I mean dissecting) with it.
NO.NO.NO.
NE.NE.NE.
TIDAK.TIDAK.TIDAK.

And Aizat doesn't want it too because he says
" Can u imagine me holding it when I dissect it?"
"People will call me gay"
Since we are very declining, Prof Hajek tries his best to find other regions for us.

Lastly, I get the right anterior tibial region (that's your shin and the muscle beside it readers)
And Aizat, poor guy, he gets all 5 right toes.
The region is so small that u can finish dissecting it in your first period (class la weh,not menstrual)
But that is the price that we pay to protect the cadaver's genital (Mr. Cadaver, you must thank both of us u know)

Even I don't favour the part that I get,
at least I don't have to cut the penis
