Cuti-Cuti Czech : Kutná Hora

The return train ride from Hradec Kralove-Kutná Hora costs each of us 106CzK.
In Czech, you'll get automatic discount if you travel in group (meaning more than 1 ppl) by train.
We transit at Pardubice and Kolin. (Hradec Kralove-Pardubice-Kolin-Kutná Hora )
Transit=rush to catch the next train =p

We walk from Kutna Hora Hlavni Nadrazi (main station) to Sedlec Ossuary.
What is it?
It is this

To be precise it is a church full of bones.
It is estimated that the collection of bones comes from 400 000 or is it 40 000? deceased.
There used to be 6 pyramids of bones but only 4 are to be seen at present.

The entrance

There are loads and loads of coins in the pyramids area.
I think it's a superstition but I don't ask around about it.

See?

A very exciting way to study bones huh?what say you medic friends?
Coat of arm.

Chandelier.

Somehow, seeing this I realise that after we are dead, we are just nothing.
Only bones.
Your mandible could be made into the chandeliar while your hand bones forms part of the coat of arm and your humerus and femur stacked up to make the pyramid and at the same time your sull is encased in the glass cupboard.
We only clutch to our dear live to make the best out of ourselves.
Btw, with ISIC (International Student Identity Card), we pay less than 50 CzK for the entrance into the ossuary and a big church across the road.
Forgot the name but it's listed as UNESCO World Heritage.

Then we walk for eternity to the town.
I advise you to walk back to Hlavni Nadrzi and take the train to the town instead.
It only cost you 6 CzK.

The entrance to the mine museum is quite dear and we pass it.
The museum and St. Barbara Church are at the same area on top of the hill.
The view from the hill is breathtaking.
I simply love Czech nature (except on snowy days, I'd rather bundled up and sip hot apple drink)

We pay a little more to enter St. Barbara Cathedral.(thanks to ISIC, discount again!)
The xterior is beautiful even with a small construction taking place at the rear of the church.
Inside there is a very big organ (it's for me since it's my first time in a chatedral)
Also there about 10 altars from various era.
They are very big with 2 pictures (1 is very big the other is ordinarily big)
Most of the pictures depicted the life of their respective era.

I see that there are so many churches.
In Czech generally.
However most are turn into muzeum and only preserved.
The Czechs are free thinker.
I think the endless suffering that their previous generation took has taken it toll on their believe.
I really hope that Muslim can use our masjid to the fullest that it'll not turn into a place where people just come and adore the architecture
and its original function ceases.

More about Kutná Hora?
Well, it's really a place worth visiting (day trip in spring from Hradec Kralove I mean)

Plus, the souvenirs are cheaper than in Prague and the wood toys here are more worthy than that of beautiful Prague.
Owh, and buy souvenirs around the town, because it's cheaper and have more variety compared to those around the ossuary.
As for dining, just pack up lunch from home =)
We have pizza but we are sure that those pizza are the instant one that u buy in the supermarket and reheat in microwave oven =(
