What A Wonderful Creation

Learning medicine in fact reveals many wonder of Allah creation.
In theoretical year, maybe I moan a lot about having ceiling-high notes to be registered into my hypocampus (memory center).
Why isn't the vessel just have one or two branch, why must it branches like crazy?
Why should the cell scattered here and there? It would make my work to remember things easier if they just uniformly aggregate at 1 place.

Now that I learn physiology and biochemistry in second year, I begin to feel happy because these 2 are about understanding, not just staring and remembering.
Ya, ya, I ha a conflict with biochemistry at first.
Like, why should I know this molecular pathway whatsoever?
As if I can see they are working in yocto size.

Actually biochemistry is essential, say to aid you in prescribing the drug to patients.
Since a disease has many predisposition and many etiology (causes) and many symptoms
And a symptom can appear in many diseases.
PBS is in 5th year and she told us, in surgery, once they watched the doctor put an apparatus into the great vein of the leg. That is like the most important vein in the leg to carry the blood from the WHOLE leg back to the heart.
Then he twisted the vein, twisted, twisted and pull out.
Nah, he just pulled out a freaking vena saphena magna/big saphenous vein!
I don't know if that freaked the 4th years out but it does freaked me out.
But you know, the most silencing fact is that even without vena saphena MAGNA, the leg can still function
Why?
Because, He has created so many collaterals (those are like, teeny weeny, thousands of small blood circulations, that before this I questioned their existence)
And those teeny weeny, why-are-you-here collaterals are able to compensate for the loss of vena saphena MAGNA.

Oh, oh and another ineteresting fact - Ondine's curse
It's a disease where you'll be dead if you forget to breath.
This thing actually exist!

oh i love ondine's curse story. very interesting kan? :)

how Allah made us so perfect in every way. thank you Allah :)

ingat, seorg doktor (or doc-to-be) adalah yg sepatutnya paling dekat dgn Allah. bila dia membaca mengenai e.g red blood cell, red blood cell itu sedang berbicara kepadanya tentang kuasa Maha Pencipta.

see you tomorrow dear lina :)
