All In 1

My laptop charger dah kiok.
kiok I tell u which means useless, dah mapuh dan yg sewaktu dgnnya.
I' ve no intention of replacing a new 1 in the meantime, so I'm gonna be katak bawah tudung saji (I decide that tempurung is way to small n is a must not for a claustrophobic like me)
So, I'm gonna be head over heel with those thick books sans my owh so-grateful-to-have white fluorescent study lamp.
so, I'm expecting my lens power to increase

in conjunction with very soon to come our Malaysia's independent day
Qibah had a nightmare just now.
It was our homeland sans our citizen, all succumb to a massive fogging
But only a person survives that is Qibah herself
And our beloved homeland is up for sale.
Rings a bell?
I think so
With 52 years of independence, the current situation is quite a shameful scene to behold.

Still, be it good or bad, quoting Kah Mun, home is always where the heart is.
I've got no time to type down my affection towards my homeland but she typed most of the things that are in my mind. Find it here
Scroll down to the title "A Bowl Of Fragrant Warm White Rice"

And guess what?
I just found out my traits that may be with me since I left school.
That is to do things on impulse.
Now, when I think about it, there have been quite a handful times where I unexpectedly do something.
Like turning down Bank Negara scholarship and went for the infamously mind cracking medicine.
Like walking home for 3km with my brother instead of taking the bus.
Like drop my dream of having anatomy in July and ike thinking of tking it this 4.
Oh my, I'm totally in a big mess.

It's Never Late To Learn

For the umpteenth time, I think I learn a lot about my body through medic.
Ok, just want to share some info that I came across.
I'm sure many people ever have something like 'water blisters' on their skin.
Blister what?
Ok, few times I have these small blebbing on my palm or fingers.
They look as though they are translucent and when u pop them, minute amount of clear fluid ooze out.
Well, we have lymph nodes in our body which screen the blood and they destry some type of bad antigen.
We have few under our skin, especially on sole or palm.
When these lymph nodes are damaged, it leads to these so called 'water blister'.
There u go.

Sekolah Ramadhan

Meminjam tajuk entry blog Super Holky Hood
New syllabus for me and my housemates is solat terawikh 8 rakaat.
The essential is to remember the verses.
It's not that we never perform terawikh before.
It's that we never lead the terawikh.
But now, we have to be one.
Ok, got to go.
Need to catch up before it's my turn!

Today

We went shopping groceries kt Albert (our stock keeps depleting -,- )
On the way back, we transited at a bench
Taking in the surrounding and talking.
About how after a short summer break in Malaysia, my fear towards dog returns.
About how we turn heads, without even helplessly dress ourselves up and putting any cosmetics.
Well, I'm just being positive here (^,^)y

And when Zetty was restlessly trying to capture all of us in, a man walked by.
Instead of the usual stare, he smiled and offered to take our picture.
And before he sets off, he asked us where are we from.
And he asked, Arabic?
Hah?
I would take that as a compliment.
That was the first person asking me wheter I'm Arabic.
Arabic women are indeed beautiful. Agree?
My abah would gelak kekeh2 if he knows this.
What a question, what a question.
But to seriously think about it, I get the rough idea that most people who don't really know have this equation
Hijab=Arab=Terrorist
Maybe the terrorist part is just some people's piece of mind.

Apa2 pun, I'm happy because he treated us nicely.

Esok Posa

Malam ni terawikh!
At last, the most awaited Ramadhan is going to be in the house!!!
To all my Muslim brothers and sisters, Selamat berpuasa.
Let us do our best to purify our gastrointestinal system, as well as our behaviour and our routine.
Have you prepare your stock of dates?
And this year, like the previous years, my dad is going to pay my zakat fitrah.
And it'll continue until I get married, which the task will be taken over by my partner.
See, Muslim women are nicely treated too!

Update, setelah ping pong sana sini, Ramadhan starts this Saturday.

Pakaian Saya, Pakaian Dia

Last Friday, we went shopping for poultry in Prague.
And we went to Islamic centre.
And there was a woman from Spain.
First look at her and I admire her choice of wardrobe.
She still look beatiful and what's more she look decent in her loose outfit.
No, she doesn't look as if she's a fashion victim.

I've been thinking about changing my wardrobe over and over.
And never get to change my wardrobe until now.
I hope to fill my wardrobe with skirts, beautiful long skirts.
And what I have is jeans.
I want to replace those long sleeves with beautiful blouses like the one that Spain woman was wearing.
And shove off my bejewelled thin scarves with beautiful long scarves.
Which I can wear like the Arabs wear theirs.
It mesmerises me.

Would the apparel producers makes more such clothing for us women.
Ya know, some women don't really fancy wearing skin showing, figure hugging and ridiculous cutting clothes.
Give us something decent and comfortable.
We'll be grateful.
Please...

Habanero

Habanero is a type of chili.
It is among the most spicy chillis in the world.
And I've just cut almost 10 of them barehanded and crush them into sambal belachan.
Without knowing that it's among the hottest chili.
And my fingertips are suffering from the burning feeling that has continued for hours.
And when I googled the petua to ease the burning sensation, they suggest me coconut oil.
Why should they suggest the thing that I don't have?
Why?
Make a diversion so that the petua can be done anywhere.

So, if u go shopping, make sure of the name of that chilli.
In case u'll land yourself in a situation like me.
Believe me, u don't want this.

Ramadhan Is Coming!!!!

Since form 3, I'm a bit excited when this holy month is around the corner.
Not saying that the years before I'd dreaded it.
But I've begin to realise things when I was in form 3.
When I started to take things more seriously.

Then did I realise the enermous excitement of Ramadhan.
That apart from not eating and drink all day long, I have to behave too, go terawikh and recite al-Quran.
Always, we would want to finish the whole al-Quran in the fasting month.

I consider myself lucky, seeing that I've experiences of fasting at home and at my hostel.
Different air yet both are very dear to my heart.
At home, the norm is to wake at 430 in the morning (which I keep reminding my mum, is too early)
brush my teeth and have meal in my PJs
and the background sound would be my mother waking my youngest brother up followed by him throwing tantrum.
my favourite is buttered scrambled egg with onions.
How I love the setting, the 5 of us eating together in the wee hour.
One of the reasons why I cherish Ramadhan is that my family is having meal together 2 times a day, everyday.
Have it been other months, the least we can pull is a dinner together each month.

Iftar would be the most awaited moment.
The countdown would start with Jejak Rasul.
And I remember being jealous over Sabahans and Sarawakians for their iftar is so much earlier.
And I haven't been so conscious of the clock in the whole year except when it's Ramadhan.
I would be checking it like for 70 times in between 5-730 o'clock!
And how I was brighten up by Yeo's commercial.
It signs iftar is just minutes away.

Our family iftar is always home cooked.
My father even boil some crysanthemum or barley.
Owh and those telur katak and getah anggur.
My parents trained us that it's not necessary to infest the table with all that we want.
Because like to everybody's knowledge, we would not even touch a great deal of the food that we were just so desperately craving for.
Ours are always main dish, kueh and kurma.
and dadih or agar-agar sometimes.

So, the first time I fasted at school, I was so shocked to find out there were so many food for iftar.
Everyday, we had rice and 3 accompanying side dishes, dates, 2 pieces of different kueh and agar2.
And for supper, instead of the usual unappetising biskut pat segi tanpa perisa, we had food like laksa, mee sup and the likes.
Can u believe it???
But odd days did occur.
One particular day, I went for outing with my friend and we went to bazaar Ramadhan.
Not trained to go to bazar Ramadhan and thinking of the already so much food awaiting us, I went back empty handed.
And my iftar for that day were rice with what's left of the dalcha (the soddened dhal sans carrot and potatoes).
Not even a fried chicken or a morsel of sambal belachan that I, by right was supposed to have.
And the dining hall people put 2 pieces of chicken on each boy plate. (they were at the masjid and returned after Maghrib prayer)
I was being denied my share and I will always remember that no one offered me any side dish that evening.
And I ended up stuffing rice with that kuah dhal.
Well, I guess we can't put away being greedy when we are starving.
But I count on my blessings, I had full plates for nearly the whole time but the above incident is just one.
So, it doesn't really hurt.

And sahur at school is the most dreaded part.
Because I need to slip off my PJs and wear something decent to dining hall.
And at this point, I hate my fate that I have to be in a co-ed residential school.
Sahur is the complete opposite of iftar.
It's what we call edible crap.
The uber salty salty fish, sambal belachan, the usual veges garnished with Nematoda (I know they can't help this part when they r cooking for close to 600 people) and some unappetising piece of meat/fish in gravy (chicken is very,very,very,very rare)
But having so many people around and bright lit dining hall help me to take sahur.
And our dearest ambition is to get hold of that wirelss microphone and crush it beyond repair.
Sahur is always followed up by the PA system publicly telling us the ustaz roaming boys dormitories and whack them from sleeping after sahur.
And no girl can sleep when hearing an old man muttering about as if he is having a reality radio show over the PA system.

This year, I'll go thru another Ramadhan.
The number at the table would be reduced to 4.
And not a day will I spend it with my family.
No one will cook for me, or us 4 precisely.
But I'll embrace eating homecooked meal tradition.
Well, I can't expect bazar Ramdhan to pop out in Czech at least in this year, can I?
I don't know if I'm going to be grateful or am I going to miss.
The usual deafening evenings with fireworks booming here and there.
We'll find that out soon.

Despite being abroad, I still have the happy feeling that Ramadhan is coming.
It matters not where I am.
The fact that we are doing it together across the globe is comforting enough.
I'm hoping for this Ramadhan to be a great one for me.
Hope u have a great Ramadhan too!

When We Were Young

Some treasures surface when u less expect them.
Most of it brighten your day.
And I sat, looking at our young faces.
I was simply there.
Carefree like the others.

I do miss all the time we shared together.
The long walk.
The crappy talks or the nerdy ones.
The meals we shared over the table.
The detention at wee hours.

Watching animal show at the age of 17. I personally think we r over the age for such thing but then who cares?

Many photos came after.
And I see that I changed from carefree to a more matured if not very responsible person.
I bet theirs do too.

Tiba2 terdengar suara Hamidi dlm kepala *those who know, know how it goes on*
"Tgk la pah, dulu our photos"
"La ni, mine and theirs"
"mcm ni la..."

I am, glad that I was there.

Datang dengan harapan, pulang dengan kek. (kek lapis Sarawak homemade by kakak Ronnnie =p)

My Friend Contracted H1N1

I just got the news.
Please, all Muslim who stumbled across this pray that she'll overcome the disease.
And pray that I'll be safe and sound.
My friend has been through a lot of difficulties this year.
She lost her grandmama earlier this year.
Been having a bad time with CNS credit.
And she has 2 more finals.

Update
The doctor says my friend has liver inflammation.
We are praying that she doesn't develop pneumonia.
There's antidote to every sickness and I hope my friend will get well soon and I will be allright.

A Person Speaks Parseltongue and Another Person Speaks Mermish

Both are unilingual.
And parseltongue has nothing to do with cakap berbelit-belit. It symbolises the way of thinking.

I went out with my friend's friends and my other friend's friends joined us (is this understandable?)
Both parties (my friends' friends) have their fair share of knowledge and experience
Also square share of dream and goals
Albeit one party's has something to do with medical jargoan and the other party's has something to do with building plans.

And me?
Owh, I carved my own achievement too.
It's the first time I go out at night and my first time eating on the same table with people I know within the last 4 hours.

A boy smoked.
I was pissed.
A girl shoot him straight.
Both hardly know each other.
My opinion?
Serve him right.

I hold no grudge against smoker.
As long as ones keeps out of my way.
Fact is, smoking kills.

And a guy who likes fact
Who is also a smoker
Told me few minutes after insiden menembak
That people who want to critic smoker to stop smoking
To put themselves in smoker's shoe
He said, smoking to smokers is as satisfying as quenching my thirst after a rigorous drill.
Once again, fact is, smoking kills.
And quenching thirst doesn't kill - this is not a fact because there are possibilities that this also kill due to choking.

If medical explaination of smoking is hard to digest.
I really hope smokers take note of the wind direction and how it brings smoke to non smokers.

I really support the idea of running business
Most importantly when the businessman/-woman is a Muslim or at least a Malay

This person has a complete plan.
It's business and I lit up at the word 'business'.
A carwash. Quite reliable.
Games center- snooker, futsal etc.
I tepuk dahi.
I told my concern.
Would sport/game centre make a long standing profit?
Seeing that trend always change.
This person said "New generation will always replace the old one. And the sport will not die".
My say?
95-5. agree-don't agree
Quoting Pokcik Azizi
"I can see the beauty in your plan but I'm careful to say no"

I have my own opinion when it concern business.
If we are to do business
We should do something that can survive for years and benefits our people socially.
Am not condemning snooker etc. but we see what have become of cyber cafe.
If having a degree can entitled the holder to RM200k loan
I shall say food processing is a very good idea to invest in.
Leeches or goat are fine business too.

However, I must admit that everyone have their own preference.
And this is just my 2 cents.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Parseltongue And A Mermish-tongue Also Have A Common View
All people are born with brain
Some people are good academically
Some people are born skilled
Some people are born skilled and brilliant
It hurts when people dismiss a person just because that person is good in academic
And it is called boasting when brilliant people set standard and underestimate average people
So, U can't just put 2 people beside each other and start comparing
It's a crime
p/s : it's nice to exchange knowledge. and physically, USM is way cooler than LFHK.
They have a whole campus with landscape, swimming pool, field, courts and all that while we have a building with unattended, small garden at the back.
Tarbiyyah From Allah
Day by day, the H1N1 death tool in Malaysia is increasing.
And it worries me the most
Am going back to Bohemian land this week
And news that flows around aren't good
Alhamdulillah, if we realise it or not
We are more aware of our health
I checked out Guardian just now and the mask is out of stock
And people are wearing masks even inside a shopping mall
When us people are busy with prevention
Some people still don't get that prevention is better than cure
And now I get it why the death toll is on the rise
Health servants don't say "we only provide free mask for people with the symptom"
and what after I get the mask
is it "we advise u to order a coffin" ?
All in all, this is not a laughable matter.
Wish me luck in finding a facemask like the one that the fogging person wear.
I have so much business undone. Don't want to be a history just yet.
